Julia Fiona Roberts, born 28th October 1967 on the 28th of October, 1967 in Atlanta to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Roberts is the fourth Roberts generation to reside in Atlanta that began with her farmer great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts. Her father took the first interest to the stage. When he was a student at Emory University in 1952 he was a part of productions at Emory University and in Atlanta. When he was stationed in Biloxi the Mississippi state, he was part of a military unit in a play with Betty Lou Bredemus. They got married in the year 1955, and their first son Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter was enrolled in Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In 1957 they were discharged from the air force and Walter began his studies at Tulane University. In 1960, the couple moved from Louisiana to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working with Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter along with Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning show on local TV that was aimed at children, called Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964, and they made a living from it. They founded an Actors and Writers Workshop in the year 1964, and it took six years to complete. In 1965, they welcomed two more children into their lives: Lelisa Billingsley as well as Julia Billingsley.
